At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 nm east of Venice to near Don Pedro Island to Cayo Costa Island, moving southwest at 20 knots.
