Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional details
- At 355 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Espanola, Chimayo, Pojoaque, Sombrillo, Santa Clara Pueblo, Santa Cruz, Cuartelez, La Puebla, Pojoaque Pueblo and Jacona. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
