Overview

At 643 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 22 miles northwest of Craig, moving northeast around 40 mph.

Hazard

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

Radar indicated.

Impacts

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Great Divide, Fortification, and Sunbeam. This includes the following highways... Colorado 13 between mile markers 109 and 127. Colorado 318 between mile markers 45 and 58.

Instructions

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
