Description
Overview
At 807 AM MDT, emergency management continued to report flash flooding in the Ruidoso area, including areas downstream of the Salt burn scar. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. While rainfall rates have been decreasing, but additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are still possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs and Hollywood.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
