Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

- At 918 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Safford, Clifton, Thatcher, Solomon, Morenci, San Jose, Safford Regional Airport, Roper Lake State Park, Pima, Central, Swift Trail Junction, Guthrie, Frye Mesa Dam, Three Way and Mount Graham. - This includes the following highways... Route 78 near mile marker 155. Route 191 between mile markers 99 and 183...and near mile marker 185. Route 75 near mile marker 398. Route 70 between mile markers 327 and 368. Route 266 between mile markers 105 and 109...and between mile markers 114 and 116. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Ward Canyon Rd. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
