Description
The areas affected include... Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and beyond 5 fathoms... Gulf of America from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal out to 5 fathoms... At 534 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a line of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Gulfside 10 Reef to 14 nm southwest of P Tower to 8 nm southwest of T Tower, moving southwest at 20 knots. Locations that will be affected include... Gulfside 10 Reef, Smith Shoal Light, L Tower, and Gulfside 5 Reef.
Instructions
Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
