Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional details
- At 348 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Cherry Creek, Crowfoot Creek, West Cherry Creek, Running Creek, West Kiowa Creek, East Cherry Creek, Elk Creek and Kiowa Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Southwestern Elbert and Southeastern Douglas Counties.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
