Description
Overview
At 402 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Timber Lakes, or 12 miles southeast of Heber City, moving north at 35 mph.

Half inch hail.

Impacts
Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Kamas, Francis, Samak, Timber Lakes, Woodland, and Trial Lk. This includes the following highways... US Route 40 between mile markers 26 and 32. Utah Route 35 between mile markers 1 and 20. Mirror Lake Highway between mile markers 2 and 27, and between mile markers 37 and 39.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
