Description
The areas affected include... Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and beyond 5 fathoms... Gulf of America including Dry Tortugas and Rebecca Shoal Channel... At 612 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located near S Tower, moving southwest at 20 knots. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
Instructions
Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
