FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... The North Canyon, South Canyon, and Nankoweap washes downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar in... Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 615 PM MST /715 PM MDT/. * At 317 PM MST /417 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the North Canyon, South Canyon, and Nankoweap washes downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the North Canyon and South Canyon washes downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar.

Saddle Mountain Overlook, Point Imperial Picnic Area, Roosevelt Point Overlook, Saddle Mountain Wilderness, Bert Loper's Boat, Royal Arches, Triple Alcoves, Point Hansbrough, Anasazi Foot Bridge, North Rim Entrance Station, Vista Encantada, Kwagunt Valley and Malgosa Canyon. This includes the following highways... State Route 67 between mile markers 609 and 610. the Colorado River between river miles 17 and 21...and near river mile 32...and between river miles 37 and 47...and between river miles 52 and 57. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... House Rock Camp Site, Upper South Canyon Camp Site, South Canyon Camp Site, Tatahatso Wash Camp Site, Tatahatso Camp Site, Above Martha's Camp Site, Martha's Camp Site, Redbud Alcove Camp Site, MCD Site Camp Site, Upper Buck Farm Camp Site, Buck Farm Camp Site, Below Buck Farm Camp Site, Loper's Boat Camp Site, Royal Arches Camp Site, Anasazi Bridge Camp Site, Lower Anasazi Camp Site, President Harding Camp Site, Eminence Camp Site, Above Willie Taylor Camp Site, Willie Taylor Camp Site, Triple Alcoves Camp Site, Duck N Quack Camp Site, Upper Saddle Camp Site, Lower Saddle Camp Site, Little Nankoweap Camp Site, Upper Nankoweap Camp Site, Main Nankoweap Camp Site, Lower Nankoweap Camp Site, Kwagunt Marsh Camp Site, Kwagunt Camp Site and Below Kwagunt Camp Site. Instructions
Flash flooding is occurring or imminent downstream of the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. Severe debris flow are expected across roads and in remote canyon drainages on the Kaibab Plateau east of State Route 67. Campers and hikers should get away from creeks and move to higher ground immediately! Stay away or be swept away!
