Overview
At 442 PM MDT, National Park Service Rangers reported flash flooding in Capitol Gorge. National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain fell across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing.
Hazard
Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams and normally dry washes. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Capitol Gorge and Pleasant Creek within Capitol Reef National Park.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
