Description

Overview

At 649 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Dove Creek, or 25 miles east of Monticello, moving north at 30 mph.

Hazard

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

Radar indicated.

Impacts

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Dove Creek and Egnar. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 491 in Colorado between mile markers 54 and 67. Colorado 141 between mile markers 1 and 15.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
