Impacts
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and streets may be flooded. Slow moving or standing water may continue.
Additional details
- At 738 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. A Flash Flood Warning also remains in effect for a portion of the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sandwich, Mendota, Amboy, Sheridan, Lake Holiday, Somonauk, Earlville, Serena, Leland, Paw Paw, Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Millington, Compton, West Brooklyn, Harmon and Harding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
