Impacts
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas.

- At 939 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is occurring in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Heavy rain has ended, though light rain showers may persist through the remainder of the morning. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... South Side of Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Hammond, Gary, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Merrillville, Woodridge, Oswego, Chicago Heights, Roseland, East Chicago, Schererville, Hobart, Lansing, Oak Forest and Harvey. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
