Additional details
- At 606 AM HST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain over the Ka'u district from Naalehu to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pahala, Wood Valley, Punaluu Beach, Kawa Flats, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Naalehu, Waiohinu and Discovery Harbour.
Instructions
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding.
