Description
A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA... Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... At 322 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a front, capable of producing wind gusts of 20 to 30 knots. This front was located along a line extending from near Indian Head to near Quantico to near Aquia Creek, moving southeast at 25 knots.
Instructions
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
