- At 1113 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over the North Kohala, South Kohala, Hamakua, North Hilo, and South Hilo Districts of the Big Island. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 2.0 inch per hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hilo, Waikoloa Village, Kapaau, Honokaa, Paauilo, Pohakuloa Camp, Kamuela, Ookala, Kukuihaele, Waipio Valley, Laupahoehoe and Waimanu Valley.
Instructions
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding.
