Overview
At 534 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of Lewellen, or 18 miles north of Big Springs, moving northeast at 20 mph.
Hazard
60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impacts
Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Eagle Gulch Campground, Ruthon, Belmar, Clear Creek State Wildlife Management Area, McKeag, and Otter Creek Campground. This includes the following highways... Highway 61 between mile markers 107 and 116. Highway 92 between mile markers 118 and 131.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Lake McConaughy, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
