Impacts
Flood waters in Whitetail Canyon will flow into the Rio Felix overnight into Friday morning. Flooding of low water crossings along the Rio Felix are expected.
Additional details
- At 1026 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Impacts are expected within Whitetail Canyon, along Picacho Road, including Clements Ranch, in and along the Rio Felix. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
