Description
Overview
At 1221 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Pingree, or 14 miles west of Blackfoot, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts in excess of 35 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Blackfoot, Goshen, American Falls Reservoir, Shelley, Firth, Fort Hall Buffalo Lodge, Rose, Fort Hall Eagle Lodge, Fort Hall Lincoln Creek Lodge, Taber, Fort Hall Townsite, Springfield, Rockford, Moreland, Pingree, Pocatello Airport, Groveland, Basalt, Sterling, and Wapello.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
