Overview
At 451 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Benson, or 14 miles east of Lillington, moving southwest at 15 mph.

60 mph wind gusts.

Impacts
Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Lillington, Dunn, Benson, Erwin, Coats, Four Oaks, and Buies Creek. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 90 and 70. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 322 and 339.
Instructions
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
