Description
Overview
At 752 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near La Grange, or 22 miles east of Louisville, moving southeast at 25 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Shelbyville, La Grange, Crestwood, Simpsonville, Pewee Valley, Smithfield, Chestnut Grove, Joyes and Middletown Heights.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
