Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
Additional details
- At 149 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Onion Creek, Placer Creek, Steans Creek, Castle Creek and Waring Canyon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Castle Valley. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
