Details

Strong winds are expected. Maximum wind gusts: 100 km/h. Locations: Northern Peninsula East, Port Saunders and the Straits. Time span: this morning. Remarks: Fully leafed trees are more vulnerable to wind damage at this time of year than during the winter season. Be prepared for possible utility outages and consider having basic supplies such as flashlights and batteries on hand.

Impacts and guidance

Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
