Description

Overview

At 347 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Aberfoil to near Kent. Movement was south at 15 mph.

Hazard

Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Impacts

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Troy, Pickett, Kent, Aberfoil, Beans Crossroads, Linwood, Ansley, Troy Municipal Airport, Tanyard, Perote, Orion, Josie, and Sandfield. This includes US Highway 82 between mile markers 208 and 210.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
