Description
Overview
At 411 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles west of Fort Stockton, moving east at 15 mph.
Hazard
70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
Source
Radar indicated. At 404PM, a 71 mph wind gust was measured at a mesonet station 3 miles NW of Belding.
Impacts
Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Firestone Test Track. This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 241 and 250.
Instructions
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
