Overview
At 652 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Mainly rural areas of North Central Brewster and South Central Pecos Counties. This includes the following streams and drainages... Negro Creek, Big Canyon, Pea Blanca Creek, Wood Hollow Creek, San Francisco Creek, Dry Creek, Spring Creek, Pyle Draw, Nineteen Draw, Maravillas Canyon, Downie Draw, Willow Creek, Pea Colorado Creek and Indian Creek.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
