FFWGJT The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Western Garfield County in west central Colorado... * Until 915 PM MDT. * At 619 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area along Highway 139 near and south of Douglas Pass. Between 0.6 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Highway 139 near Douglas Pass is prone to rockslides and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid driving on flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
