- At 724 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. Light rain will continue for the next couple of hours. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Dry Twin Creek, West Fork Cottonwood Creek, Critnan Creek, Red Canyon Creek, Beaver Creek, North Fork Hall Creek, Stambaugh Creek, East Fork Cottonwood Creek, Twin Creek and Tweed Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of South Central Fremont County near the Weiser Knoll Burn Scar. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas.
