Details

Freezing temperatures with frost are expected tonight. Locations: Deer Lake - Humber Valley, Buchans and the interior, Green Bay - White Bay, Grand Falls and vicinity, Burgeo - Ramea and Connaigre. Minimum temperatures: zero to +5 (coolest in low-lying areas). Time span: early Sunday morning. Remarks: Patchy frost is expected to form in the more typically prone low lying areas where winds will diminish to light under a cool airmass and clear skies.

Impacts and guidance

Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible. Frost advisories are issued when widespread frost or freezing temperatures are expected during the growing season. Des températures sous zéro avec du gel sont prévues cette nuit. Régions : Deer Lake - vallée de Humber, Buchans et l'intérieur, Green Bay - White Bay, Grand Falls et les environs, Burgeo - Ramea et Connaigre. Températures minimales : de zéro à +5 (plus frais dans les basses terres). Période : tôt dimanche matin. Remarques : du gel épars devrait se former dans les basses terres les plus sujettes aux vents, là où les vents deviendront légers sous une masse d'air frais et sous un ciel dégagé.

Des dommages aux plantes, aux arbres et aux cultures sont possibles. Un avis de gel est émis lorsqu’on prévoit des températures sous le point de congélation ou du gel généralisé pendant la saison de croissance.
