Southeastern Calhoun County in north central West Virginia... Central Clay County in north central West Virginia... Southern Gilmer County in north central West Virginia... Northwestern Webster County in northeastern West Virginia... South Central Lewis County in northern West Virginia... North Central Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia... * Until 845 AM EDT. * At 440 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sutton, Gassaway, Birch River, Wallback, Holly River State Park, Flatwoods, Centralia. This includes the following highways... Route 19 between mile markers 47 and 61...and between mile markers 64 and 66...and near mile marker 68. Interstate 79 between mile markers 34 and 80.
