- At 730 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms early this morning. Minor flooding continues in the advisory area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Though heavy rain is not expected through much of the morning, standing water and elevated creeks and streams will persist this morning. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sandwich, Amboy, Shabbona, Hinckley, Somonauk, Waterman, Paw Paw, Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Lee, Compton, Nelson, West Brooklyn, Harmon, Lee Center and Eldena. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
