Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, particruarly in the Sherman and Denison areas. Expect water over roadways and ponding of water in urban or other areas.
Additional details
- At 534 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sherman, Denison, Pottsboro, Knollwood, Dorchester, Randell Lake, Eisenhower State Park, Lake Texoma, Preston, Southmayd, Boddie, Luella, Ida and Carpenters Bluff.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
