...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa... Iowa River at Marengo affecting Benton and Iowa Counties. Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Louisa, Washington and Johnson Counties. English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.

At 18.0 feet, Sand Road closes south of 520th Street to the Highway 22 intersection.

- At 7:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight to 15.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to 17.6 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will fall below flood stage again late Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Monday afternoon.
