Description

Overview

At 911 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bethune, or 9 miles west of Burlington, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazard

60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impacts

Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Kit Carson County. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 415 and 443. Highway 385 between mile markers 178 and 192.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
