Description
Overview
At 1131 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 10 miles southeast of Etowah, or 14 miles north of Ducktown. These storms were nearly stationary.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Murphy, Ducktown, Tellico Plains, William L. Davenport Refuge, Coker Creek, Violet, Turtletown, Copperhill, Bullet Creek, and Hiawasse Dam.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until this storm passes.
