Overview
At 103 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11 miles northwest of Waynesville, or near Smoky Mountains-Balsam Mountain, moving southeast at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
