Overview
At 117 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Pelham, moving southwest at 10 mph.
Hazard
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hoover, Alabaster, Bessemer, Pelham, Helena, Calera, Montevallo, Wilton, American Village, Maylene, Oak Mountain Amphitheater, Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, University Of Montevallo, Shelby County Airport, Oak Mountain State Park, Joe Tucker Park, Camp Branch, Siluria, Alabaster Veterans Park, and Saginaw. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 231 and 245. Interstate 459 between mile markers 5 and 11.
