Overview
At 439 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Bob Woodruff Lake, or near Millbrook, moving southeast at 5 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Coosada, Hunter, Montgomery Zoo, Boylston, Alabama State University, Bob Woodruff Lake, Eastdale Mall, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, Lagoon Park, Gunter Air Force Base, Alabama State Capitol, Blue Ridge, Mitylene, and Tallapoosa Water Plant. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 169 and 180. Interstate 85 between mile markers 1 and 5. US Highway 82 between mile markers 144 and 145, and near mile marker 179.
