Overview

At 547 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Indian Mills, or 8 miles east of Pipestem, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Hazard

60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source

Trained weather spotters. Trees down and quarter size hail were reported in Summers County.

Impacts

Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Princeton... Narrows... Athens... Peterstown... Camp Creek... Pipestem... and Rich Creek.

Prepare immediately for LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows.
