What

For the Small Craft Advisory, east winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 3o kt and waves 4 to 7 ft. For the Gale Watch, northeast winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 6 to 9 ft possible.

Where

Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

When

For the Small Craft Advisory, until 4 AM EDT Wednesday. For the Gale Watch, from late Tuesday night through Thursday evening.

Impacts

Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Instructions

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.
