Overview
At 637 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Asheboro, moving north at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... High Point, Asheboro, Randleman, Archdale, Trinity, Liberty, Ramseur, Franklinville, Staley, and Randleman Regional Reservior Marina. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 106 and 112. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 71 and 88. Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 77 and 79.

Prolonged heavy rain will result in ponding of water on roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of creeks and streams.
