Overview
At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Spurgeon, or 7 miles northwest of Johnson City, moving east at 5 mph.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Johnson City, Kingsport, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, Gray, Oak Grove, Central, Spurgeon, Midway, and Colonial Heights.
