Overview

At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles northeast of Sutton, moving east at 40 mph.

Hazard

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

Impacts

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sutton, Rock Cave, Holly River State Park, Flatwoods, Alexander, Eden, Cleveland, Helvetia, Exchange, Heaters, Walkersville, Kanawha Head, Ireland, Centralia, Falls Mills, and French Creek. This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 60 and 75.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
