Overview
At 1217 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Big Stone Gap, or near Norton, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Norton, Wise, Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Appalachia, Pound, and Pardee.
