Description
A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... At 732 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a shower, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This shower was located 13 nm southeast of St Simons Island Village, or 14 nm southeast of St. Simons Island, moving northeast at 15 knots.
Instructions
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs, move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard.
