Additional details
- At 817 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... East Prong Roaring River, Cub Creek, Caddle Creek, Cooks Creek, Cobb Creek, Davenport Creek, Bull Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Cody Creek, Beaver Creek, Big Bugaboo Creek, Ararat River and Camp Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Wilkesboro, Elkin, Wilkesboro, Fairview, Jonesville, Dobson and Ronda. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
