FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... The Northwestern City of Chesapeake in southeastern Virginia... The Southwestern City of Norfolk in southeastern Virginia... The City of Portsmouth in southeastern Virginia... The Northeastern City of Suffolk in southeastern Virginia... * Until 530 PM EDT. * At 223 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
