Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional details
- At 237 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grovetown, Evans, Harlem, Riverwood, Columbia County Exhibition Center, Patriots Park, Liberty Park Community Center, Blanchard Park, Blanchard Woods Park, Woodbridge, Evans Towne Center Park, Riverside Park, German Island and Fury's Ferry Boat Ramp. - This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 186 and 192. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
