Description
Overview
At 325 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Raton Pass, or 8 miles north of Raton, moving east southeast at 20 mph.
Hazard
Heavy rain, wind gusts 40 to 50 mph and half inch hail.

Impacts
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Raton Pass.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
